We did it!!!!!!!
Well, it is the day after Bloomsday~ all of the anticipation has rounded the corner to sore muscles and happy spirits!! We had a wonderful time there with all of our old friends, new friends, family and supporters!
It was perfect weather for the race-sunny and cool with a slight breeze that always seemed to come up just when we needed it. There were so many awesome bands and even more awesome people dressed up from anything to Star Wars characters doing the Macarena to PeeWee Herman!! You couldn't help but smile when you saw them! It seemed as though whenever we would get tired we would see an amazing couple walking with their canes or a Daddy pushing his child in a wheelchair or a woman walking up doomsday hill wearing a prosthesis. You knew that if they were there doing it, you could too! How inspiring it was as we came to the top, tired and sweating and wondering if we might be out of our minds after all, to hear the community cheering us on, waving and offering water or a quick spray with the hose as we walked by!
The music they played for the last few blocks would probably have seemed "cheesy" to anyone who wasn't just finishing that 7.46 miles but to us it was just what we needed to get across the finish line and feel that amazing sense of accomplishment!
Thank you to everyone who sponsered us and gave us the encouragment to go over there and spend a wonderful day! We arenothing without all of you!!!
We did it baby boy!!! Next stop...the Half Marathon in Missoula!!!!

The afterglow.....
It is the day after the golf tournament! What a wonderful time and great success!!!
We had 12 teams of 4 playing on Monday and the weather was PERFECT! Mason must have had something to do with that! The Double Arrow Resort was beautiful, as always, and the staff there were beyond great! Thank you so much to all of you, to our golf pro Dave, all of your people were just great! And to all of the staff that cooked the wonderful meal- THANK YOU TOO!!
To all of our volunteers who sat out in the sun all day watching everyone else playing-THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! You guys rock!!!
Obviously a HUGE thanks to Lance and Bonnie Philiber for all of your help setting things up as well as the great deal on the rooms-to anyone who hasn't been there for a night or two, you are surely missing out! The rooms were so homey and quiet, the food in the restaurant was indescribably delicious and the campefire after was just amazing.
Another special thank you to Jessica Crowley (August Light Photography) for donating her time and materials to photograph the tournament for us!! Check out her facebook page to see some of her amazing work.
Of course, the golf was great too!
All in all I would have to say the only disappointment was that no one got to take the Camaro home! There is always next year though!!!!
Thank you most of all to all of the people who came to play and to volunteer your help. This would have never come to be without all of you. Your generous support helped us raise over $2000.00 for Mason's Foundation! Not bad for our first year!
Next year the tournament will be help on Saturday, June 11th. Don't forget to save the date on your calendar!!
I will post pictures in the near future so keep an eye out for them!
